THE body of a missing teenage boy has been found just a few hundred yards from where he went missing.
Michael Davies, 15, from Mountain Ash, went missing at around 11pm last Thursday in the Brynheulog Accutron by Bulova Replica Watch area.
The teen's disappearance sparked a mountain rescue search as he was not wearing any shoes when he was last seen at home.
Mountain rescue and the fire service used thermal imaging equipment to search for him on Thursday night.

His body was found outside after police were called by a member of the public to the Llanwonno Road area of Mountain Ash at around 12.15pm last Saturday. He was formally identified yesterday.
A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding Michael's death.
